Evan Button & The Tribe

Evan Button & The Tribe are the band featured on the background of this website. Forming just this year and being composed of all freshmen except for their drummer, they have quickly gained a following in Boone. They have grinded hard since coming together to arrange and perform the songs Evan had initially wrote and been performing solo and acoustic around the area. Playing a multitude of venues with all assortments of lineups and genres, Evan Button & The Tribe have put their name up into the air with other well known Boone acts. They band members and instruments are as follows. Evan Button, guitar/vocals, Leo Faillace, lead guitar/vocals, Nate Anderson, trumpet/keyboard, Karl Boynton, bass, Austin Bowling, saxophone, and Daniel (Danny) Knight, drums. The band offers a mixture of folk, reggae, funk, and jam. Opening up their songs live for solo sections that easily double the length of a song but really get your head bobbing and the "stank face" going. The most amazing thing about this about band is when you're standing in the crowd jamming out and admiring the skill of the band on stage and then you realize that all of the kids on stage are around 18 & 19 years old with the majority of them being students in Appalachian State's Music Industry Studies program. It's very obvious that these kids have extremely bright futures in front of them and have astounding potential to make into the music scene and prosper. I'm very excited about this band and to see them grow into what they can make of themselves.
